| Jessica Lack writing in The Guardian: "As a member of Fluxus in the 1970's, Hans-Hermann was part of a band of anti-artists that included Joseph Beuys and Yoko Ono. A group that embraced all creative endeavor from street poetry to jesters, they set about re-framing the boundaries of modern art by dispensing with them. Hans-Hermann today still refuses to be categorised in artistic terms. He makes art from the detritus he finds, scratching the surfaces of boxes untill they are riddled with incisions and peeling the cardboard off beer mats untill he is left with malleable textures he then creates elaborate discs from. This is the German's first solo show in London, and he's set about creating works that in time, (it is hoped) bring about the annihilation of the artist ego-if only that were possible."
